Vibrant-yellow stars shine above lance-shaped stems. Like blue-eyed "grass", not a grass but part of the iris fam.

A logical compliment to almost any planting, this species adapts to diverse conditions. Foliage is semi-evergreen, flowers appear throughout spring and summer.

For an enchanting experience, press a few of its leaves between the pages of a heavy book. When dried they will turn a deep purplish-black.
