Quaking Aspen : Populus tremuloides

This dramatic species occurs primarily on the eastside of our region, so it can tolerate sunny to part-shade conditions.

Cream-colored to light green bark, spine-tingling noises when summer breezes shake the leaves. Dramatic fall colors.

Grows relatively quickly and often forms clones off of its roots (avoid planting near infrastructure).
