Grows quickly and although shallow-rooted, do not plant where roots could affect infrastructure. Short-lived, but insects and woodpeckers will utilize trunks as a grove decays.

Tolerates various soil conditions but needs to keep its feet wet and prefers not to be blasted by the sun.
