Pacific Bleeding Heart : Dicentra formosa
Bleeding hearts make for rugged souls. These delicate drooping blooms can grow amongst stones and in the shadows. They light up the most with some flecks of midday sun.
Lacy blue-green leaves ripple below delicate gathered hearts.
This plant grows easily as a groundcover and combines well with other shady characters, like ferns.
Hummingbirds visit it; ants disperse it.
