The Backyard Habitat Breakfast Club is a time to get together and learn about stewarding habitat in our time and space. These sessions are designed to be informal and relaxed, so you can bring specific questions or just listen and learn.

Nov topic: The Tree Agenda
  • Why Trees Are So Cool (as if you did not know this, but): this is about some crazy stuff trees do, a little science on how they do it, and some examples from around the world. 
  • Tree Identification: make connections and relationships to the plants and animals around you by learning who they are
  • The Socialist Agenda of Trees: A Preamble - trees do not succeed in isolation - Hasta la victoria siempre!
Casey Clapp (caseyclapp.com/) is an arborist, podcast co-host of "Completely Arbortrary"and the author of The Trees Around You: How to Identify Common Neighborhood Trees in PNW (which he'll be bringing for purchase and signing!)
He's been seen twice on Science on Tap (Chelsea's side-gig), the podcast "Ologies", and is a fantastic and hilarious public speaker.

$31/person - regardless of size or age - catered breakfast included. It's always incredibly tasty and filling.
*Dietary restrictions will be broadly considered - i.e. there will be GF and vegan options but we are unable to cater to specific needs.
