A trailing or sometimes climbing vine, with long trumpet-shaped pink flowers from June to August.

Differs from orange honeysuckle in that it is semi-evergreen, has hairier leaves, has a totally different looking flower, and tolerates drier conditions.

Orangish-red berries are eaten by birds, but are no good for humans.
