Licorice Fern : Polypodium glycyrrhiza

Often grows in the cracks and crevices of Big Leaf Maple trees. Frequently found associating with mats of mosses. Requires relatively consistent moisture.

Great for hanging displays that are allowed to establish over time.

The jury is still out on whether or not its roots resemble that familiar anise taste of licorice-give it a try and maybe let us know :)
