Silky droopy tassels are pale purple and yellow, appearing in spring. Smaller catkins than G. elliptica (coast silk tassel), but also more heat and cold tolerant.
Pistolates (females) bear greeny-pinky berries that turn purpley-blacki. Smooth, green leaves give off a manzanita vibe.
