Appropriately nicknamed 'water lentil', each with 1-4 leaves and a single inch-long root hanging down. Helps to keep your pond shaded during hot summer days, and give cover to the chorus frogs.

Spreads rapidly, but easily managed with some removal with a small rake (dump on your land plants for added nutrients!).
