Coyote Bush : Baccharis pilularis

Coyote Brush (or Bush), Chaparral Broom, and Bush Baccharis.
Native peoples, the Kumeyaay, used leaves to treat inflammation/swelling and pain and called the plant samaall kwsiyaay.

Grows 1-3 meters high when full.
Can either form a mound or spread.

Tolerant of a variety of soils including sand and clay.
Deer Resistant
Found in a variety of habitats
