Soft and bushy, like we think of raccoon tails. Fully submerged, free-floating, aquatic plant that creates habitat and hiding places underwater as well as blocking the sun from creating algae blooms (you do want some algae to grow though, if you are trying to help out native frogs).
Can die off in winter, but sends bulblet things to the bottom beforehand to spring forth in spring.
Comes in a bag like the goldfish you won from the fair, but this one actually belongs in a pond (and won't die in a week).
