Cascade Penstemon : Penstemon serrulatus

An herbaceous plant that grows in the sub-shrub layer; Cascade Penstemon prefers it slightly more moist than its Cut-leaf cousin. It thrives in full or bespeckled light.

Several whorls of deep blue-purple flowers grow around the top of stalks. Its symmetrical blooms are the epitome of beauty.

Hummingbirds approve as well.
