Great Camas : Camassia leichtlinii

Less common but similar in habitat needs to the Camassia quamash.
Still significant ethnobotanically.
Seeks the sun but likes to keep its feet wet. A local beauty.

The roots are excellent when slow-baked, however, developing a sweet flavor and making a very good potato substitute.
